M35:

Above is a drizzle of CYMG raw images - pretty good results, considering the image should be converted to luminosity before being drizzled.  Below is an individual CYMG raw uncombined image - of course, at the time, I didn't realize that and was very happy I was getting images that I could recognize.  I presume the results of using process 2 on these raw images would produce better results.  Mouse over to compare star patterns to the reference image below.

Notice above that the stars are all blurred.  The exposure was 30 seconds.  It's quite amazing the drizzle came out as good as it did considering the individual images are so bad.  This was a revelation and the first reason that made me decide it was worth trying to figure out a working process as I was seeing identifiable star patterns.  Another important revelation was that exposure time had to be limited so that the stars did not streak as in the above images, as I was sure that would be important in getting a good final image.
